Snorkelling Trip

A snorkelling trip to the Daymaniat Islands is a must for anyone living or visiting Oman. This protected nature reserve is an underwater paradise with around 1100 different species living there. It is approximately 45-minute boat ride to the islands, where your captain will choose the best snorkelling spots for the conditions on the day.

Between 1st November and 30th April you can step ashore to enjoy the white sandy beaches and explore the islands along with enjoying the stunning underwater world. You will visit 2 different snorkelling spots where you will see a variety of corals with turtles, rays, clown fish, angel fish, butterfly fish and much more. Whale Sharks are also a common sight between June and September.

Trips are available departing from Barceló Mussanah Resort or Al Mouj Marina

  • Adult price: OMR 30
  • 6-12 year olds: OMR 20

  • 6 years old on the mixed trip.
  • If you would like to bring younger children please look at our private boat trip options

  • None
  • It is preferable that you know how to swim a little for maximum enjoyment, but it is not necessary

  • Towels
  • A light snack
  • Drinking water
  • Daymaniyat Island permits
  • Snorkelling equipment (don’t worry it is thoroughly disinfected after every trip!)
  • Wetsuits are also provided for those who want them in the winter months
  • Buoyancy aids are available for those less confident in swimming, or those who just wish to be able to completely relax while snorkelling

  • Additional snacks and drinks you may want to enjoy
  • In the winter a hat, warmer clothes for return journey
  • Personal snorkelling kit if you have your own which you would prefer to use
